06/09/2008 - Notts County fans have their say

I agree with Richard Butcher that schoolboy errors cost Notts the win against Shrewsbury.

But if Notts carry on playing like this it will not be long before the wins will come. The football being played by the team is the best seen at Notts for a long time.

Notts County have and always will be a third-rate team; no money, no hope, no supporters and no future. I have watched the Magpies for more than 35 years but I am sorry to say no longer can I afford to pay to watch dismal and pathetic performances I have witnessed in recent weeks. I don't know about McParland going - let's have a new team. You are well paid so earn your money that we the fans pay week in, week out. If I worked the way you play I would have been sacked. Sack them all and start from scratch.

Re lack of singings before the transfer deadline, I thought we had one of the biggest player budgets in the league? What about the revenue generated from the pre-season friendlies and the forthcoming TV money? Same old story I'm afraid.

Can anyone tell me why we have taken a good six yards off the width of the pitch when we're trying to play the ball out wide?
